In past some attendees have been able to secure great airfare deals by purchasing a ticket on Black Friday. You may also want to check out the full listing of airlines flying into nearby LAX, as it includes a number of discount carriers.
For those flying to LA who do not want to rent a car, the Flyaway bus, is a great option: $8 one way from LAX to Union Station. From Union Station there are many ground transportation options; plus it is approximately a 1 mile walk to Colburn.
